In order to improve the educational program in our secondary schools, School Improvement Committees have been established in Howard M. Phifer Middle School and Pennsauken High School. Participants on the committees include parents, teachers, staff members, and administrators. The task of the committees is to review all aspects of the school program and develop appropriate recommendations for improvements. The recommendations would be reviewed and considered for implementation by the administration and the Board of Education.

The Pennsauken Board of Education has determined that it would be beneficial to establish a District Improvement Committee. The district is facing significant issues and many go beyond the scope of individual schools. It is hoped that parents, citizens, and staff members would be interested in serving on the district committee; however, committee membership will be limited.

If you are interested in serving on the District Improvement Committee, please write to me stating why you would like to participate.  Letters should be sent to the Office of the Superintendent, 1695 Hylton Road, Pennsauken, NJ 08110. The deadline for the submission of letters is January 17, 2006.
