1.  Student should get lined paper and pen.

The students will get a lined piece of paper, according to class procedures during the first minute of class. (B)

2.  Students should write name and date in upper right corner of paper.

The students will write their name and date in the upper right corner of a piece of paper according to class procedures and during instruction of the lab. (B)

3.  Students should write the word “conclusion”  at the upper left hand side of the paper and underline it.

The students will write the word “conclusion” on the upper left side of the paper, during the instruction of the lab. (B)

4.   Write the following sentence two lines below the word conclusion; “In my  hypothesis, I said… (Complete the sentence with what you  stated would happen in the lab from your hypothesis).

The students will restate their hypothesis statement, during class, while using their laboratory report and before they analyze their data according to the conclusion rubric (B)

5.   Then write and complete the next sentence; “After completing the ____________              (Fill in the blank with the name of the lab) lab, my data and results shows…  (Complete the sentence with what your data tells you happened in the lab).

The students will analyze their data and results from the current lab report during class using the rubric provided by the teacher. (B)

6.  Then write the following sentence; “My hypothesis was wrong/right”. 

The students will analyze their data and results in class using the provided rubric to decide if their hypothesis is right or wrong. (B)

The students will write a statement in class explaining why their hypothesis was wrong using the laboratory data in accordance with lab book. (B)

8.  Write and complete the following sentence; “The science concept I learned while completing this lab is… (Interpret your data and results and explain what your learned from completing the lab).

The students will write a statement in class explaining what science concept they learned while performing the laboratory experiment. (B)
