The Chesapeake Bay watershed

Spreads from up-state New York

through Pennsylvania and New

Jersey. All of the water from rivers,

streams, lakes and ponds finds

its way into the Chesapeake Bay. Because of the diverse species that live in this watershed, your job will be to collect information related to the organisms found in the Chesapeake Bay region. Your assignment will be to answer the following question:

“Why is there such a diversity of life in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed?”, and to act like a specific scientist and accumulate information about specific Chesapeake Bay species, create a field guide, and present the information to your class.
